WMF VASE: JUGENDSTIL
reproduction
A superb and elegant flower vase decorated with a typical Jugendstil vegetal motive.
It was designed under the supervision of sculptor/designer Albert Mayer for the well known German firm WMF (Wurtembergische MetalWarenFabrik) around 1903. Mayer was appointed head of the Art Studio in 1894.
This item is illustrated at page 372 of the original 1906 "The Art Nouveau Domestic Metalwork Catalogue" from WMF as model N° 192.
Pewter in a handmade reproduction of the original in the same size and finishing.
